Have A Great Halloween Weekend

Happy Halloween everybody! Hope everyone has a safe and candy filled weekend. I myself will be indulging in some sugar-free candy corn, sugar-free pop rocks and some gummi worms. We will be at my niece Marissa's last football game tomorrow so we will not be doing our traditional candy give-away. Marissa is in the band and we love to show our support. This will be the first year that my sister Cyndi and I won't be dressing up like witches. Oh well, there's always next Halloween.

I'm All Taped Up!

Start searching for that tape! Scotch has a great line of tapes to suit your needs. I can say in all honesty that I have tried all of these, pictured above and I prefer the transparent tape. I do love the Gift Wrap tape but I strongly suggest that you try the contoured tape dispensers. They handle well and the bright funky colors make the dispenser easy to spot amidst rolls and rolls of ribbon and wrapping paper. Lots of good choices.

I mentioned in an earlier post, way back in the archives, that I no longer wrap presents. It's true. I've been using Christmas bags and beautiful christmas tissue for the past six years. My sister Cyndi still wraps all of her gifts so I thought that this year I would buy wrapping paper and wrap a couple of gifts this Christmas. I know I will probably wind up with strips of tape in my hair!

Wow, Christmas is upon us and I still haven't thought about where I'm going to place my tree. I have a revolving tree because I have twenty-four years of ornaments to display on it. I am a mad collector of ornaments. None are alike. I do have some beautiful blown glass ornaments but the majority of them are a mix of vintage and new. I think trees look best with an array of ornaments. I love to look at peoples trees and look at all of their treasures My tree must have multi-colored lights on it. I've never been a clear light person. on trees. I love clear lights on garland atop the fireplace mantle. I have a large green garland over the back glass door wrapped loosely with a beautiful shimmery gold ribbon and I entertwined two strings of clear bulbs in it. I looks so beautiful when we turn off all the lights in the apartment and the glow it emits puts me in the Christmas spirit.

The tree selection is so varied nowadays. Remember those silver aluminum trees? Now you can get pink, purple, red and gold! My pick will always be green trees. Alas, I can't have a real tree since the needles make welts on my skin. Boo hoo hoo! Oh well, I wouldn't trade my revolving tree for the world.
